Cribbed Content for July 25th

Author: Trish Category: Cribbed Content Tags: ASE08, Craigslist.org, Cribbed Content, Eddie Davidson, Google, Knol, links, spam, Wikipedia

Friday
Jul 25, 2008

Some varied stuff going on this week.

  • Convicted spammer Eddie Davidson escaped from prison and killed his wife, son, and self, leaving his eldest daughter wounded and the baby unharmed.  Coward.
  • Craigslist lost a case (by default; they didn’t show up in court) on revealing a seller’s identity who tried to sell tickets to the Oscars this past year.
  • Google introduced Knol, their Wikipedia knock off.  Some people have called it a wiki killer, while they maintain it’s really different.  I do see the differences, but as I’m not a wiki author I can’t imagine being a Knol author either.
  • With 2 weeks until Affiliate Summit East 2008, the show is sold out!  If you think a co-worker or assistant registered you and you never got the registration email, think again!

This isn’t so much a link, but I’ve been considering whether I should collect these links for the end of the week or just obliterate the Cribbed Content feature and write a post about them when they come up.  But so many other blogs already cover them… what then?

Thoughts?  Rationale?  Suggestions?  I’m all ears.
