Lady Soma Skin & Nail Treatment Review & Giveaway!

I’m very happy to hosting my 3rd contest in 3 months, this time thanks to the folks at Prime Media via Tomoson!  I’ve been testing out Lady Soma Skin & Nail Treatment, and I am happy to share my thoughts on the product AND I have one to giveaway to one lucky reader!  Get ready to step up your nail game!

Holy crap, ladies, this stuff is amazing!  Thick and rich and smells like frosting!  I have definitely seen a marked improvement in the moisture level of my hands and cuticles from using it.  Prime Media sent me a 4 oz. jar of the Lady Soma Skin & Nail Treatment and a bonus Lady Soma Lady Mint Tingle that I did not expect at all, so I’ll throw a review in for it too 🙂

The directions for the skin & nail treatment say to apply to dry hands as needed.  May be used several times per day.  Smooth over nails and cuticles, massage gently in circular motions.  I’ve been trying to use it at least once per day, so I have it sitting here on my desk so I remember to put it on as I’m typing away.  The Cocoa, Shea, & Kokum Butters that primarily compose this treatment smell wonderful, like the most perfect frosting.  Makes me hungry for some cupcakes every time I open the jar!

And MAN is this stuff thick!  It’s seriously the consistency of buttercream frosting. I took a picture of it on my finger so you can kind of see how thick it is.  Personally, I have a love/hate relationship with super thick moisturizers.  I LOVE how my skin feels after wards but I HATE that momentary slathered up feeling.  Because this is a hand cream, the application of it does force me to take a little work break after I apply it because I have to give it a minute to let it soak in to where I’m not leaving smears on my keyboard.

A little of this Lady Soma Skin & Nail Treatment goes a LONG way, which is great considering this 4 oz. jar retails for $16.99.  I’ve been using it for almost a month now and I haven’t made much of a dent in the jar.  I even started using it on my elbows to really get rid of that awful dry skin.  The soft, supple feeling of my hands after applying usually lasts at least an hour while I’m working unless, of course, I wash my hands.  I’ve never been the type of girl to apply lotion every time I wash my hands (which is probably why I feel like my hands are a bit prematurely wrinkled) but I would imagine that if you were prone to doing that, you could easily put this on multiple times per day to keep the supple feeling.

Here’s a couple more pictures of the skin & nail treatment so you can see it’s consistency in the jar.  Even the color looks like buttercream (okay, now I’m making cupcakes!)

A quick note on the Lady Soma Lady Mint Tingle.  It’s also pretty damn great.  My lips get dried out really easily, especially if I have my little tiny desk fan on me when it’s hot, so this is a perfect super moisturizing balm to keep on my desk.  The simple ingredients in this lip balm are just organic sunflower oil, organic beeswax, organic coconut oil, organic peppermint essential oil, vitamin E, organic rosemary extract, and organic calendula.  I love a rich, smooth lip balm that sounds like something I could make myself and isn’t full of chemicals.  The Lady Mint Tingle retails for $4.99, which in my personal opinion is a bit high for me, but if it lasts a long time I’d be inclined to purchase it again!
