In a possible fail of the Disqus comment system (say it ain’t so, @DanielHa!) I’ve been informed that the comments on my original blog post about my contest appear to be closed.
So in an effort to wrap this bad boy up, entries are welcome via comment on ANY post. Deadline is still Sunday.
I’m going to stick with my original way of entering – write a post in your blog about why you read my blog. Link baiting? I won’t deny it. I got a good suggestion from Andrew Wee of WhoIsAndrewWee.com to forget the link bait entry model and go with random or a survey. Good idea, but it’ll have to wait for the next contest. I’ve never been one to change the rules mid-game (unless it meant winning at Monopoly).
First prize is still a 6 month subscription to Trackur reputation management service courtesy of Andy Beal. Second prize is a Creative Vado pocket video camera courtesy of James Seligman. Third prize is 6 months of ad space at FreshySEO.com courtesy of Eric J. Odom.

Not too much going on this week so this will be short.
- I forgot to post the Free Toolsday post this week. No one seemed to notice :/
- There’s a great lighting video at Fathom SEO serving as a tutorial on how to light a whiteboard to do a video. Good stuff.
- Sam Harrelson came back with Affiliate Fortune Cookies and did a few episodes this week. I’m a happy camper. He tried out a live show, which was fun. I wish I could have called in to participate, but work got in the way!
- Zappos.com jumped into Twitter with a free shoe marketing campaign today. It’s a bit annoying that people are starting to use Twitter JUST to market, but I do want me some free shoes…
- ReadWriteWeb posted a super interesting article about contacting customer service through Twitter. They’re right on the money… there’s been a number of times when I’ve mentioned a product or service and immediately received someone from the company following me or sending me a direct message to see if I needed help. Big shout out goes to Daniel Ha from Disqus.com who jumped right to my aid most recently to help me work out a problem.
Enjoy your weekend peeps! Notice that I added another good link…
