DIY Disneyland Bleach Silhouette Shirts

I mentioned before we went to Disneyland a couple weeks ago that I’d tell you more about how our DIY Disneyland Bleach Silhouette shirts came out.  So I’ll make good and tell you that they came out pretty great, with one exception.  In all, I ended up making 7 shirts, 4 of which came out wearable after trials and tests that weren’t meant to be tests.  Let me tell you, this was definitely part pinwin and part pinstrosity!

DIY Disneyland Water Bottles

I mentioned earlier this week my obsession lately with Disney themed crafts for my upcoming trip to Disneyland to enjoy their fall festivities for the first time and share in the 60th Diamond Celebration fun.  Since my travel partners are two of my best friends, Rachel & Lorenza, and no children, I’ve been looking for some crafts that don’t involve countdowns, reveals, or stuff that’s obviously for kids.  We had discussions on what kinds of things we’d need for the trip and what kinds of things we wanted to embellish ourselves.  One of the things we decided we wanted to make unique were water bottles.

DIY Puppy Potty Training Bell

With getting a new puppy, my FIRST puppy, actually, there was a lot of prep.  We gave a lot of Winston’s things to my vet as donations, so I had to purchase new stuff for Pixel – a few things I’d given away but mostly stuff I’d never had before, specific to a very small puppy.  I decided that bell training would be great (it’s basically a bell the puppy is trained to ring to go do her business outside).  I had seen many of them  on Pinterest and thought it was a terrific idea, but none that I really liked.  So I decided it couldn’t be THAT hard to make one myself.

Hitchhiking Ghosts Mason Jar Luminary

With my upcoming trip to Disneyland, I started pinning projects to a new #DisneySide board months ago when my friends & I finally settled on a date.  One of the crafts I came across while scouring Pinterest for Disney or Disneyland related crafts that were more adult was not something I could use for our trip, but something I loved the idea of: a Hitchhiking Ghosts Mason Jar Tutorial.  It looked cool, and I’d bought a vector silhouette file of Phineas, Ezra, & Gus last year, but it was needlessly complicated.  So I hacked it and came up with my own.

Stardom Crafts Liquid Chalk Markers Review

There are a lot of trends in crafts right now, but one I have just not jumped on board with is the CHALKBOARD THE EVERYTHING trend.  It’s a look I just don’t find appealing, most of the time.  I like things to look more precise, more measured, and while I have nice handwriting, I can’t draw for shit.  That said, I have previously bought cute little “chalkboard” clothespin signs and a standard white chalk marker for entertaining purposes, but found that the chalk never really removed from the signs.  I think being able to play with these liquid chalk markers had taught me the limitations and how I can be happy with a chalkboard look project!

Rubber Ducky Baby Sprinkle

Rubber Ducky Baby Sprinkle

One of my best, closest, oldest friends Jennie recently gave birth to her second child, a boy they named Colin Donovan.  I helped her two sisters to plan her first baby shower 5 years ago when she became a mom for the first time with the birth of her daughter Joy, and really enjoyed it.  I convinced her to let me throw her a baby “sprinkle” this time around.  Something smaller, more like a big picnic in her honor.  Ha… I should have known I don’t do anything half-ass!  This will be the first in a series about all the various facets of a baby sprinkle that really turned into a full-fledged rubber ducky baby shower!
