Happy Independence Day! We’re keeping it low key here at Fawver Home Base this year – the hubs Dominic is BBQing some burgers, we have copious amounts of Blue Moon and Angry Orchard to keep us in good spirits, and I’m having groceries delivered by Safeway to help ease any 4th of July shopping anxiety!
Since we’re not really going out, I kept my Independence Day manicure super simple too. In fact, two of the polishes I used just came today in my July Julep Maven Box! Talk about great timing! I had a lot of inspiration out there to choose from, but in the end I went with easy – my theme for this holiday weekend!

For this manicure I used (from Pinky to Thumb) Julep Tegan, Sally Hansen Chrome Nail Makeup Gilded Pearl Chrome (super old, I know!) with Salon Perfect Starred & Striped on top, Julep Braiden, Julep Jennine, and Julep America the Beautiful.
Tegan, Braiden, and Jennine are all their textured Stardust Finish polishes, and America the Beautiful is such a chunky glitter (especially after 2 coats) that it fits right in with the textured polishes. I saw a few other swatches floating around on blogs and Pinterest of other glitters from the new Salon Perfect Paint the Town Red, White, & Blue Collection (available exclusively at Walmart) on top of a silver chrome, so I decided to go with the gold chrome to change it up (and because I was already using Braiden as a dark silver). Overall I’m very happy with my Independence Day manicure!
Big thanks to our local real estate professional who put these flags on EVERY lawn in my neighborhood. Gave me a good backdrop in the early evening sun!
Have a terrific 4th of July! Stay safe & sane with those fireworks, folks!
