It’s that time for my annual Oakland Athletics themed manicure! This year, the first game I’ve gone to all season is my first Bark at the Park game with Pixel! We went with my best friend Rachel and her pup Appa and had a great time. Of course, I made them both cute baseball green & gold tutus and made Pixel & myself some matching bling, but I was torn when it came to my nails. Dog themed or Oakland Athletic’s themed? Oakland Athletics Manicure 2016 Edition
If you’ve been following me for a few years, you’ve seen I’ve done an Oakland Athletics themed manicure for my first game every season. This year’s first game manicure has come later than the others considering I’ve been unemployed. However, thanks to Lorenza’s ticket deal booklets and Free Parking Tuesday, I went to my first game last night for the 2016 season!

I have been remiss in my baseball fandom this year and it took me until the middle of June to get my ass in gear to see my Oakland Athletics in person! Lorenza & I took advantage of her half off coupons and went to the June 19th game against the Los Angeles Angels. I wish I could say they won, but at least I got a decent manicure out of it!

Oakland Athletics Manicure 2014 Edition
I’m not a sporty girl by any stretch of the imagination, but growing up in Berkeley and Alameda, my parents raised me with a healthy (okay, obsessive) love of the Oakland Athletics and baseball. So for years now I’ve looked at the schedule at the beginning of the season and plotted out all the games I wanted to go to based on opponent and promotion and put them on my calendar months in advance. I’m die hard. I go all out for games and don’t play around.
