One of my best, closest, oldest friends Jennie recently gave birth to her second child, a boy they named Colin Donovan. I helped her two sisters to plan her first baby shower 5 years ago when she became a mom for the first time with the birth of her daughter Joy, and really enjoyed it. I convinced her to let me throw her a baby “sprinkle” this time around. Something smaller, more like a big picnic in her honor. Ha… I should have known I don’t do anything half-ass! This will be the first in a series about all the various facets of a baby sprinkle that really turned into a full-fledged rubber ducky baby shower!

Made many holiday party decorations, assorted crafts, and even hundreds of Christmas cards one year with it (I don’t recommend that project unless there’s 10 people on your card list!). So when the new Cricut Explore came out in March with the ability to cut SVG files and other files that I could design MYSELF, I jumped on it, $300 price tag be damned!
Nine months later… it’s been sitting in the shipping box, next to my desk, unopened. When my super craft friend Jen Goode bugs me about why its still in the box, I explain how I haven’t cleaned off my card table that I use for crafts since last Christmas so I have no room to use it. But, I think I know the real reason I haven’t opened it.

For one of the first Halloweens in a long time, I’ll be staying home and not really doing much with my friends. You’d think, with Halloween being on a Friday, that this is the perfect year for shenanigans.
