A New Adventure in my Career

Since 2008, I’ve been fortunate enough to work in Performance Marketing at a variety of positions, and to work at home for most of those.  I’ve been an affiliate manager and, for a time with FMTC, I was running all the sales, marketing, customer service, and social media.  It’s been an exciting adventure, that’s for sure.  For the last 18 months or so, I have been working on starting my own marketing agency, Blinkstar Media.  The time has come, however, to put that on hold for awhile and start a new adventure working in direct marketing, going back to commuting to an office every day.

Experimenting with Peel-Off Base Coat

I’ve seen peel-off base coats in the past, but never pulled the trigger on buying one.  I’ve been watching more videos by Cristine of Simply Nailogical and she loves her peel-off base coat so she can switch up her manicure super often without killing her nails.  After seeing her use it under gel polish and her Best Peel-Off Base Coat video, I decided to pull the trigger and order her favorite – ÜNT Ready for Takeoff Peelable Base Coat – and do my own experiments.

Bark at the Park 2017 Oakland Athletics Manicure

It’s that time for my annual Oakland Athletics themed manicure!  This year, the first game I’ve gone to all season is my first Bark at the Park game with Pixel!  We went with my best friend Rachel and her pup Appa and had a great time.  Of course, I made them both cute baseball green & gold tutus and made Pixel & myself some matching bling, but I was torn when it came to my nails.  Dog themed or Oakland Athletic’s themed?  As the little girl in the taco shell commercials says, porque no los dos?

#EntrepreneurLife Ain’t Easy

Just like pimpin’, that #EntrepreneurLife ain’t easy.  While I’ve been in the market for a new “opportunity” for a year now, I think it took about 4 months for me to come to the realization that I needed to just do this on my own and stop relying on another outsourced program management agency to hire me.  Over the last 8 months I’ve been able to really dial in on my pitch, my merchant recruitment methods, and work on how I want to structure my own brand of affiliate program management, without the confines of someone else’s work styles or resource limits.

5 Unique Gifts for Mother’s Day

Lately I’ve been doing a LOT of promotion of my own stuff, so I thought I’d take a break and show you some unique gifts that your Mom will love that I DIDN’T make!  I mean, she’d love my stuff too, but that’s beside the point.  Amazon has done a great job of showcasing what they call “Interesting finds” and I’m obsessed with browsing through them.  But of course, while Amazon might be one of the more convenient sites to order from, there are other retailers out there with great unique gifts!  Here’s 5 unique gifts for Mother’s Day you might consider this year.

Purchase Pink Ribbon Designs to Fight Breast Cancer

One in eight women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.  According to the World Health Organization, breast cancer is the most common cancer among women worldwide.  I’ve known a few women in my time that have been diagnosed and otherwise affected.  It’s for them that I’ve created some Pink Ribbon designs.  It’s also for them that, for the next two weeks, I’ll be donating 50% of the sales from my Pink Ribbon designs to Liz Fogg for her journey to walk the AVON 39 The Walk to End Breast Cancer in Washington DC. October 2018 50% of sales of these designs will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
