Cribbed Content for August 29th
Friday
Aug 29, 2008
Okay, there was a glitch in the matrix last week and I somehow forgot to post what I’d been working on. Fail for me. Anyway, this week’s cribbed content will include some self-aggrandizing points from last week and some really nifty stuff going on this week.
- StickerGiant was kind enough to feature me on their blog last week. I placed my first order with them while I was in Boston and was really happy with the quality of stickers I received
So I slapped their logo on my laptop! - I never win anything, yet while at Affiliate Summit I won $1000 in a contest. So with that I will be going to BlogWorldExpo! I’m excited as this will be my first BWE and a lot of the good people I met at Affiliate Summit East will be there.
- ShareASale, always the innovator, launched their Make-A-Video widget, allowing affiliates to make – and monetize – videos for advertisers’ products and services. I’m excited – I don’t do much on ShareASale yet, but soon I hope to have a bit more time to play around with this.
- Fellow AffSpot.com forum poster Daniel M. Clark just published his first widely available book, The Big Book of Spam: Subject Lines
. This is volume one, and volume two is already in the works. I’m waiting for my copy and will dutifully review it for you!
- Motive Interactive affiliate manager Luke Jeffery Smith has a good audio eBook out there, Luke Jeffrey’s Affiliate Marketing Fast Track
. It’s just $0.99 – I plan on buying it and giving it a listen this weekend, again, complete with review!
Ultimate Affiliate Package
Thursday
Aug 7, 2008
Recently I’ve been seeing a lot of packages promising affiliate marketing to newbies in a nice, neat package. Some are shady but others are fairly legit. A decent one I’ve heard some good things about is this Ultimate Affiliate Package.
Basically with this package will give you a jump start into affiliate marketing. Considering the amount of money you can make with this, the fee to participate isn’t bad ($97). One of the hardest parts of affiliate marketing is doing the grunt tech work, so this takes that out of the equation so almost anyone who has the desire to work from home can do it.
The brands the package works with are well know and reputable, so it shouldn’t be very hard for a relative novice to jump right in and become acquainted with the ins & outs of affiliate marketing. When you buy the package you receive easy website building software, access to a support site, weekly lessons, and two eBooks: Affiliate Marketing 101 and Blogging for Money.
The program works with Walmart, BestBuy, and Amazon, to name a few. From the general looks of it, it looks to me to be something a super affiliate has set up to help others get into the game. With the guarantee offered, it’s worth a shot for the novice interested in affiliate marketing as a way to make a few extra bucks.
Online Marketing Glossary: AdSense
Wednesday

AdSense:
- An advertising program run by Google enabling website owners to display text and image advertisements. Revenue is generated on a pay-per-click basis. Google uses its search technology to serve ads based on website content and users’ geographical location.
AdSense is held as the golden standard of search marketing, above rival search engines Yahoo! and MSN. There are several gurus out there Joel Comm who write books on how to use AdSense with the highest effectiveness to generate revenue. I won a copy of his latest eBook AdSense Secrets 4 from blogger & super affiliate Zac Johnson, but I have yet to read it. Which is probably why my all-time AdSense earnings (ok all time is only the last couple of months) are sitting at a jealousy-inducing $6.56!
