A New Adventure in my Career

A New Adventure in my Career

Since 2008, I’ve been fortunate enough to work in Performance Marketing at a variety of positions, and to work at home for most of those.  I’ve been an affiliate manager and, for a time with FMTC, I was running all the sales, marketing, customer service, and social media.  It’s been an exciting adventure, that’s for sure.  For the last 18 months or so, I have been working on starting my own marketing agency, Blinkstar Media.  The time has come, however, to put that on hold for awhile and start a new adventure working in direct marketing, going back to commuting to an office every day.

Meet Pixel: Pug Princess

Things have been quiet around here on TrishaLyn.com, I know.  I’ve had a lot going on in my life that’s pulled me away from this blog.  I shared with you losing Lunchbox, and my mother’s plight.  There’s more to that later story, but I won’t go into it now.  For now, I want you to meet one of the reasons I’ve had little blogging time this summer – our new dog, Pixel!

Julep Polish Giveaway #2: Candace!

It went over SO WELL last year that I’m hosting another Julep Polish Giveaway!  Like last year, I went for a Mystery Box with my Julep Maven subscription and ended up with a duplicate color.  So, no use in hanging on to it… it can be YOURS if you play your cards right!

A Sorta Kinda Photo Editing Contest!

I’ve decided it’s time to play a game!  This is close as I can get to The Price is Right or one of those huge jars of candy that you have to guess how many pieces it holds!  So I’m going to host a photo editing contest – sort of.  The easy thing is that I’m not asking you to edit any photos, that’s on me.  You just have to guess how good I am at setting up a shot in the first place!  Dominic and I are back from a weekend full of photos in Humboldt County celebrating his 35th birthday, so I have a lot of editing to do!

31 Things to do at home on Halloween night

For one of the first Halloweens in a long time, I’ll be staying home and not really doing much with my friends.  You’d think, with Halloween being on a Friday, that this is the perfect year for shenanigans.  Well, not so much since some of my friends work late Friday nights, some work early Saturday mornings, and otherwise timing just got away from us.  Boo!  So, this Halloween I won’t be in costume (maybe some accessories) but I’ll just be hanging out at Fawver Home Base.  Here’s 31 things I plan on doing, could be doing but might not, could be doing but won’t, or wouldn’t do but you could!

Sponsor Me to Attend BlogHer PRO 14

BlogHer just announced their next conference, BlogHer PRO ’14.  It will take place December 3 & 4 in Redwood City.  I had a good time attending BlogHer ’14 down in San Jose, but I was left wanting more take-home, actionable items that I could use to build my blog.  This conference seems to focus more on that aspect of blogging.  Most notably, it promises that I will walk away with a new, professional media kit.  This is something I know I need, and would love to have.
